PRESIDENT’S CLUB 2008
President’s Club winners used many words to describe their experience in
Hawaii last September.
Luxurious.
Magnificent.
A dream vacation.
For President’s Club 2008 winners, no stone was left unturned in
Melaleuca’s attempt to provide the most enjoyable retreat to one of the
world’s most popular tourist destinations.
President’s Club winners enjoyed luxurious accommodations at the
world-renowned Wailea Resort and Spa, enjoying sumptuous food, posh
rooms and one of the world’s best spas.
“We were treated like kings and queens from beginning to end,”
said Executive Director V Roberta Campanaro, who celebrated her first
President’s Club with her husband, Gregory. “It was an unbelievably
exciting event from beginning to end, especially because we didn’t really
expect to win. So just even winning was amazing to me.”
Winners also embarked on some hair-raising adventures, led by
CEO Frank L. VanderSloot and President McKay Christensen. The group
toured the magical island of Maui by air, land and sea. They partook of
breathtaking views of waterfalls by helicopter, traveled through volcano
country by ATV and kayaked among sea turtles.
First-time President’s Club winner and Executive Director III Raul
Luna was blown away by the experience.
“I had heard phenomenal things about the whole President’s Club
experience,” said Raul. “One thing is hearing and another thing is to
experience it. It’s just one of those dreams that you only see on TV. Making
it a reality is just anyone’s dream and I’m so excited that it became reality
for me.”
But for all of the amazing accommodations and breathtaking tours,
winners expressed their satisfaction at the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with Frank, McKay and their wives, Belinda and Jennifer.
“We got to spend an afternoon in the ATV with just Frank and us,”
said Roberta. “It was kind of a defining moment for me. Just getting to
know them on a different level is such a treat.”
Raul knows that, despite the hard work and sacrifice it took to get to
Hawaii, it was worth every late night and extra phone call.
“It takes a lot of work and focus and dedication,” said Raul. “It’s well
worth it. I remembered when I started at Melaleuca
a lot of my friends would invite me out to parties or
to have fun and I remember telling them that I was
busy and didn’t have time. I put Melaleuca first, and
some people thought that was a waste of time but
President’s Club was the reward for all of that hard
work and missing all of those fun times.”
